Welcome to another Dome tutorial, this video will give you an overview of the ‘Documents’ sub menu.
System administrators and managers will use this menu to create, edit or remove document groups, types, and templates.
Document groups allow certain ‘document types’ to be grouped together, for example, StarPrintServer templates or correspondence. Document templates allow each document type to be given a StarPrintServer ID, so that the correct template is used for printing. Document types hold all the documents that can be used within the Dome. Each document type will have a group and a template assigned to it. Document types are also used in workflow rules, for example, a rule can be created to print a NIP and Section 172 after a user has accepted a valid offence in the Dome.
The Documents menu gives access to the following sub menus:
- ‘Groups’ – Add, edit, or remove document groups
- ‘Templates’ – Add, edit, or remove document template
- And finally, ‘Types’ – Add, edit, or remove document types
