Junior QA Tester

The Junior QA tester is responsible for testing new features as they are completed, working with the developers to agree and write up test steps, carry out testing, and provide feedback as necessary. Additionally, the role will involve carrying out full regression tests as part of the release process, working with the rest of the testing team.

The role will also be required to take part in the estimation process on a regular basis, with the rest of the development and testing team, and to continually help to improve the testing process.

Key Duties:

  • Carry out functional testing as part of the Scrum team
  • Help to write up test plans / steps
  • Produce clear, well-written bug reports / feedback
  • Help to oversee quality in the release cycle, such as ensuring installers are up to date, checking release notes etc.
  • Continually investigate and implement methods for ensuring quality

Key Skills Required:

  • Professionalism and attention to details
  • Familiar with computers and software
  • High standard of written English
  • Self-starter / quick to learn

Beneficial:

  • Knowledge of GDPR, and WCAG guidelines
  • Basic debugging skills
  • Experience of working in a software environment
  • Experience of producing and carrying out test plans

Package Offered:

  • Up to 25k depending on experience
  • 25 days holiday per annum
