Managing Print Templates (01:38)

Back to tutorials

Welcome to another Dome tutorial, this video will show you how to manage the print templates in your system.

To access the print templates, click ‘Manage’, highlight ‘Print’ and click the ‘Manage templates’ sub-menu.

In front of you will be the template editor. You can either create a brand-new template or select an existing one from the drop-down menu.

To create a new template, populate the editor with the content you wish to include. Use the formatting tools available to fully customise the look and content of your template. Just above the editor are the following options:

  • The first is the page selection drop-down. This lets you select the page you wish to edit or either add or remove additional pages to a template
  • The second allows you to insert multiple merge fields from the database, for example, name, address and vehicle registration mark
  • The third allows you to select what offence images to include, such as the default offence image, number plate image or the driver image
  • Finally, the fourth drop-down allows you to insert images and logos from your organisation.

Before saving your new template, you will need to select what printing functions it can be used for, this can either be: ‘Print in context menu’, ‘Quick Print’ or ‘Reply letter’.

You will also have to select which offence and camera types your template can be used against.

Name and save your template when you are finished.

To edit an existing template, simply select it from the drop-down menu in the top left.
