StarTraq Newsletter - Summer 2021

Welcome to the Summer 2021 edition of our newsletter.  Below are a selection of developments and news stories from the past few months.

Online admissions and nominations.

Process online admissions with StarPortal.

StarPortal allows members of the public to view their notice (NIP) and evidence related to a traffic offence and nominate another driver online, instead of returning a paper S172 form.

StarPortal has been upgraded by our development team so that vehicle owners can now make admissions online using the portal. The portal will take the vehicle owner through the process step by step. Identification will confirmed by asking them to enter their driving licence details. This process is much less time consuming than completing a paper form. Admission and nomination details are sent directly to the DOME back-office to continue the enforcement process. See our features guide to see the entire online admissions process.

StarTraq wins contract with Ministry of Interior in Qatar.

Qatar awards strategic contract to Key Technical International (KTC International) and StarTraq Limited to streamline their traffic camera offence processing.

KTC International and StarTraq are delighted to announce that we have been awarded a contract by the Ministry of Interior in Qatar to provide our browser-based traffic enforcement solution, DOME, to consolidate the review of traffic camera evidence in one solution.

For many years, the processing centre in Doha has been using multiple back-office software solutions to process traffic offences, one for each different camera manufacturer, making automation and global reporting complex and time-consuming.

The DOME software is an important investment as it will integrate with all leading speed camera manufacturers to offer one software suite to review all the evidence regardless of the source. The software, which will be delivered in Arabic, will use smart 'Licence Plate Recognition' technology combined with customisable workflow rules to automatically verify evidence packs, where possible, without the need for human review.

The project is due to go live in by the summer of 2021, and the efficiencies achieved through the implementation of the DOME will enable the authorities to realise much better management information and automation.
