Welcome to another Dome tutorial, this video will give you an overview of the comments tab.
The comments tab allows you to add regular or priority comments to an offence’s record. This could be vital information about work already completed on the record or details of telephone conversations and other interactions with an offender.
To create a new comment simply click on the ‘add’ button in the top right-hand corner. You can also select a pre-set comment using the dropdown menu. You can continue to navigate the inbox tabs whilst you’re writing the comment. You can also minimise the comment whilst you’re investigating the offence by clicking on this button. Click the tick box if you want it to be a priority comment. Priority comments will have a red exclamation mark under the ‘priority’ column. These comments will always be displayed first via a pop-up box each time an offence is loaded. This way the comment can be seen before viewing the offence to ensure no urgent information is overlooked before dealing with the offence. You can toggle a priority comment ‘on’ or ‘off’ by right clicking on the comment and selecting the ‘toggle priority’ option.
Finally, comments can either be displayed in a table or journal format, to change this view simple click on either the table/journal switch button.
