Welcome to another Dome tutorial, this video will give you an overview of how to use the DomeForOffice Outlook plugin to either send or reply to an email.
Using the DomeForOutlook plugin is simple. Either click on the ‘New E-mail’ or ‘Reply’ button in the top left-hand corner of outlook to bring up the ‘compose e-mail’ dialogue box.
In this example, we will be sending the passcode details to the offender, so they can access their evidence through our online portal. To use any fields in the Dome you will first need to load the offence information you wish to use from the StarDome ribbon. To do this, you can either enter the NIP number here, or you can view a drop-down list of the most recently accessed offences, as shown here. Notice, that you will be prompted for your password for the first time that you use the StarDome Ribbon. Select the offence you wish to load. Compose your email.
Here is an email I prepared earlier. Once you have loaded an offence, you will have access to the offence field drop down menus. From here you can add any details of the offence or the offender to your e-mail. Once you click send, the email will go to the recipient and a copy will be saved to the Documents Tab in the Dome.
