North Yorkshire Police selects StarTraq to provide its smartphone ticketing solution, Traqer, to digitise the issuance and management of Traffic Offence Reports (TORs).

We are delighted to announce that North Yorkshire Police has selected StarTraq to provide our smartphone ticketing solution, Traqer, to digitise the issuance and management of Traffic Offence Reports (TORs).

North Yorkshire Police has been a client of StarTraq since 2013 when the force invested in StarTraq’s innovative browser-based back-office solution DOME to manage its camera captured traffic offences. The addition of our smartphone ticketing software to manage TORs further confirms North Yorkshire’s commitment to using cutting edge technology to help improve business processes and efficiencies.

Traqer allows North Yorkshire Police officers to use existing smartphone hardware to record and issue Traffic Offence Reports from any location. Once completed, ticket details are automatically uploaded to the DOME back-office system via the mobile network. From here, offence information is reviewed by the Traffic Bureau team and queued for export to PentiP.

Having all camera captured offences, and officer-issued TORs within one solution further enhances the reporting capabilities of the force.

The system went live at the end of September 2021.
