StarTraq’s approach is flexible and we aim to provide cost effective solutions to meet our customers’ needs. This includes:
· Shared services. Many of our customers are under pressure to deliver more services with less funds. Back office functions offer major opportunities to benefit from automation through technology, particularly if services can be shared across departments.

· Regional collaboration. StarTraq has experience of consolidating the processing of speed and red light offences into a single system across the whole of Wales. While retaining each of the four Police Force’s unique process and identity, the administration of camera offences has been automated in a nearly paperless environment.
· Outsourcing*. StarTraq is working with leading delivery partners to provide a full business process outsourcing solution for traffic offences.
*The recently published ACPO white paper gives the green light for the outsourcing to third party contractors of traffic offence processing, finding that “all functions currently performed within a safety camera office are suitable for outsourcing, except where legislation precludes this” (Association of Chief Police Officers: Guidance for the Outsourcing of Safety Camera Offence Processing and Operational Functions, section 2.2.).
