Seatbelt Education
StarTraq Live Seatbelt Education is convenient and easy to use for both the offender and the enforcement authority.
Offenders can access the course on any computer at anytime within a specified timeframe. If this timeframe elapses before the offender has completed the course, StarTraq Live will automatically process the offence to the next stage on behalf of the enforcer, with no additional administrative support required.
As well as being easy to use, the course is interesting and dynamic. Animation, audio and a Live chat* option ensure that the user remains constantly engaged in the learning process.
Live chat* option: users can discuss their experience with other offenders and an expert facilitator. This creates a classroom environment for those who enjoy learning with others, without incurring the costs associated with classroom- based driver education courses.
The mandatory phases of the course may take up to one hour to complete, although most participants will complete in around 30-40 minutes.

Individually Tailored Learning
StarTraq’s Seatbelt Education course begins with a selection of diagnostic questions to tailor the course to the user’s individual driving habits and their attitudes to seatbelt use.
By defining the offender’s mind-set, StarTraq Live sets out to change the fundamental attitudes that drive behaviour. The questions trigger multiple learning paths that provide targeted learning for specific users.
Special topics are designed for individual user profiles:
• Young Drivers
• Pregnant Drivers
• At-Work Drivers
• Van/LGV Drivers
• Taxi and Private Hire Vehicles
• Passenger Carrying Vehicles
• Agricultural vehicles
• Rural Road Users
• Urban Road Users
• Rear Seat Users
Users complete a course that is focused on their own vehicle use, maintaining the attention of the user and tailoring learning to their needs. Once the course is completed, another compulsory diagnostic reassesses the offender’s attitudes towards seatbelt use, and matches answers back to the original diagnostic questions. This enables assessment of the efficacy of the course.
